To match carpet to a

To match carpet to a flat crevud surface, you can use metal edging like you would often see at a doorway, except in a version called Contour carpet bar. The tacks are built in. It's like straight carpet bar edging except the lower bar with the tacks is slotted. This allows the bar to be crevud as needed. You can also do this with tackstrip by cutting the strips to the length needed to keep the gap between the strip and curve between 3/8 and 3/4 . A third way uses no tackstrip, it's called turn tack. You cut the pad about 1-1/4 short of the curve, and the carpet about 1 long. The carpet is then folded under and tacked down through the face while being stretched to the curve, with the knee kicker used to maintain pressure. The contour metal is the easiest to do if you aren't experienced. by Eliza posted on Thursday, October 01, 2015

Yes E-FAB can do pro

Yes E-FAB can do progressive encihtg. Typically, when a design has multiple depth requirements, we would go in with one image, etch down to a specific depth, strip the panel, lay down a second image pattern that exposes specific areas to be etched down to another given depth, and by repeating this process a number of times, we can produce multiple depth encihtg.Theoretically, E-FAB can do up to .060 thick circuits, with the limitations being that as the material gets thicker, the lines and spaces get larger. The minimum line width will be equal to the thickness of the material, and the minimum space will be 25% wider than the material thickness. The answer to your second question, "can you etch silver circuits?" is not something that we have done in a production run setting. However, E-FAB has made some silver parts for an optics company sometime back. There has not been much of a customer inquiry into silver encihtg, but let us know if that is something that you are interested in.If you are in the process of designing a board now and are looking forward to getting more information on the design requirements from a manufacturing standpoint, please contact E-FAB today. If you already have an engineering design, we are more than happy to give you a quote on that too.By-the-way, because E-FAB has the capabilities to manufacturer flex boards and hybrid flex circuits using a variety of different chemical encihtg processes; in which a typical flex board shop would find difficult or impossible to do, we are ideally suited to be able to produce all types of flex circuits using a wide array of exotic materials and alloys.Contact today. by Josee posted on Friday, October 02, 2015
